Briceyda Landaverde, known to viewers as Bri, anchors the weekend editions of NBC Connecticut News Today and reports weekday mornings, delivering the latest headlines and in-depth coverage of stories that matter most to Connecticut communities.

Bri joined NBC Connecticut in 2022 as a bilingual reporter. She brings a community-first approach to her reporting, covering a wide range of topics including education, healthcare, and diversity. She is also a frequent contributor to the station’s Connecticut in Color series.

Prior to joining NBC Connecticut, Bri worked in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she anchored weekend morning newscasts and helped launch a Spanish-language digital news update. She began her career on Long Island as a photojournalist before transitioning to reporting.

A proud New York native, Bri earned her journalism degree from Stony Brook University. While in college, she traveled to Cuba to report on Wi-Fi access during a rare window of eased travel restrictions—an experience that helped shape her storytelling perspective.

When she’s not reporting, Bri enjoys going for walks, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
